The idea for Loop de Luxe was born during a cross-country road trip, in Lawrence, Kansas. While looking for a place to eat, I came across a row of independent boutiques selling gorgeous, handmade clothing and vintage pieces. I wanted to share what I found with my friends so I started emailing photos, website links, and stories but there had to be a better way to get the word out. Discovering hidden neighborhood boutiques and local designers shouldn't be so hard!
A year later, I returned to Brooklyn to find two of my favorite boutiques had gone out of business. I got to know several of the boutique owners, who said they loved their brick and mortar stores but wished more customers knew about the phenomenal collections they carried.
At the same time, Ashleigh was working in NYC as the owner of a high end children's clothing collection. She experienced the challenges in marketing a brand, attracting customers, connecting to boutique buyers, and securing press for the line.
So Ashleigh and I decided to start online site that provided a broader customer base for local designers and boutiques all across the country. We know so many great designers who need more exposure and so many fashion-forward customers are looking for them. Loop de Luxe brings both together.
